Early Years – A Small Town Girl
Michelle Monaghan was born on March 23, 1976 in a small town called Winthrop, Iowa, where fewer than 1,000 people lived. Michelle Monaghan grew up with her parents Sharon and Robert Monaghan who are hard working with her father, working in a factory and her mother assisting in childcare. Michelle was brought up in an amorous family and had two elder brothers. Her family were Catholics and she had Irish and German ancestry.
Michelle is a promising person even in early age. She performed in school plays and she was even the class president in high school. In 1994 she completed East Buchanan High School.
A New Path – From Journalism to Modeling
Michelle Monaghan migrated to Chicago after high school. She attended an institution, Columbia College Chicago, to learn journalism since Michelle Monaghan admired the concept of telling and writing. She started modeling in order to take care of herself at college. Soon her modeling career became successful. She used to work in such huge fashion cities as Milan, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and in the United States.
In 1999 Michelle Monaghan made a courageous move just a semester to complete her degree. After college, she moved away to New York City in an attempt to make it as an actress. Michelle continued to model in New York as she began her search into acting.
